From deep within the suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, five young men with a passion for feel good, balls-to-the-wall rock ‘n’ roll became The Touch. Uninspired by the somber and all too familiar sounds of the current musical fashions, The Touch set out to remind gig-goers of the raw excitement that a rock show should provoke. Gigging since 2006, The Touch have been warmly welcomed onto the local scene. Delivering tight, exciting and energetic live shows, their well-written, catchy songs never fail to impress musicians and punters alike. The enjoyment they get from performing is infectious and has the crowd singing and dancing like there is no tomorrow. Still new and fresh on the circuit, The Touch are a band who can only go from strength to strength in the coming months. Boasting carefully crafted tunes realized with wailing dual guitars, soaring vocals and bombastic rhythms, this "hair-growing phenomenon" are one of the most exciting and lively groups to hit Perth stages in recent years.
The Touch recently launched their debut EP ‘Wet Southern Hell’, now available through the band directly, to a capacity crowd in their home town of Perth. On the back of the overwhelmingly positive response from the launch, and with a swag of killer new songs in hand, The Touch are set to hit the studio once more. Keep an eye out for this one in late 2008.
